Betty Reid
Hello, I’m Betty and to introduce myself, I would have to say that if a person could be born an interior designer – that person would be me! I started drawing house plans at age eleven, and I still love the details of space planning. Home or office, it is all the same to me – I cannot resist the temptation to create and furnish a beautiful and functioning space.
After getting a degree from UNC-G in interior design I owned and operated my own design shop for 20 years. I tried to retire once but I missed having my fingers in the fabrics too much to stay away. Now, after thirty years I can honestly say that each and every design job has been as different and diverse as the clients themselves. I would love to help you find just the right piece of furniture or tackle the entire room, home or office. Second homes are also fun!
My husband and I have three children and live on a wonderful farm with a pond. We raise a huge garden each year and take advantage of every opportunity to be outside. Show horses were part of our life when our children were younger but we are down to dogs now. Two of our children have finished college and the youngest will soon graduate. If the weather permits you will find me enjoying the outdoors and in the evenings I am usually curled up with a good book and a Jack Russell on my lap.
Please give me a call at Black’s Furniture and allow me the opportunity to help you with your home or office.
